Getting started

How do I make a plan?

Choose “Make a plan”, or click a day on the calendar. Add a name, a date, and optionally a time, place, details and a helpful link. Plans without a date are saved as Someday dreams.

Can a plan have a start time?

Yes. Uncheck “All day” and add a start time and, if you like, an end time. Times use your time zone, and guests see the time zone next to the time.

What are Someday dreams?

Ideas without a date yet, like “Road trip to Yellowstone”. When you’re ready, edit the dream and add a start date to move it onto your calendar.

What are calendars?

Groups of plans. You start with “My life”. Make others, like “Family” or “Hiking crew”, and share them so the people you approve can see every plan on them.

How do I use a guide?

Open any guide on the Ideas page and choose “Make this a plan”. It fills in a new plan with a title and details you can change.

Inviting people

How do I invite someone?

Open the plan and choose “Invite people”. Copy the link and send it any way you like: text, group chat, email or social media.

Do guests need an account?

No. Anyone with the link can see the plan and reply with their name. With a free account they can also add photos, post messages and get update emails.

Can I email the invitation?

Yes. In “Invite people”, type or paste up to 20 email addresses at a time and choose “Send the invitation”. Confirm your own email address first.

Can I invite people from my contacts?

Yes. Choose “Import contacts file” and pick a .vcf or .csv file exported from your phone, Google Contacts or Outlook. The file is read on your device and never uploaded. On Android phones with Chrome, “From my contacts” opens your phone’s contacts. “Invited before” lists people you’ve emailed.

How do I export my contacts?

iPhone: in Contacts, open a contact or a list and use Share or Export. Google: contacts.google.com → Export → vCard or Google CSV. Outlook: People → Manage contacts → Export contacts.

What is an RSVP-by date?

An optional date to reply by. The invitation can show a countdown to it. After it passes, people can still reply.

How do I stop sharing a plan?

Open “Invite people” and turn the link off. The old link stops working right away.

Updates and reminders

Will people know if I change the plan?

When you save changes, “Let everyone know about these changes” is checked. People with an account who replied Going or Maybe get an email showing what changed. People you emailed hear about date, time and place changes.

What happens when I delete a plan?

For upcoming plans you can email everyone that it’s cancelled, with an optional message.

How do I stop update emails?

In Your account, turn off “Email updates”. People who were emailed an invitation can use the unsubscribe link in any email.

How do countdowns work?

The host chooses whether the invitation shows a countdown to the plan and to the RSVP date. Everyone can turn countdowns off for themselves in Your account, and guests can hide them on the invite page.

Photos and messages

Who can see photos and messages?

Only signed-in people with access to the plan. People viewing through an invite link don’t see them.

How do I add photos?

Open the plan and add a JPG, PNG or WebP photo up to 8 MB. People on the plan get at most one email about new photos every 6 hours.

Can I delete a photo or message?

You can delete your own, and hosts can delete anything on their plans.

Your account

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in page choose “Forgot password?”. We’ll email a link that works once.

How do I download my data?

In Your account, choose “Download my data”. You get a file with your account, plans, calendars, RSVPs, messages and photo list.

How do I delete my account?

In Your account, choose “Delete my account” and enter your password. This permanently deletes your account and every plan and calendar you host.

Is it free?

Yes. Creating an account, making plans and inviting people are free.
